Registered Acupuncturist, Doctor of TCM Diploma, Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist
Dallas started her exploration of Chinese medicine when she was 14. She sought treatment for sports related injuries and found the medicine was able to help with much more than pain management.
After a few years at Vancouver Island University studying psychology, it became clear that alternative health was something she wanted to explore further. Having found so much benefit from Chinese medicine when she was young, this seemed the natural progression. She began her pursuit of her Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine Diploma, and officially became licensed with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners of BC as a Registered Acupuncturist in 2013.
Dallas’ interests lay within mental health and addiction including depression and anxiety. She also enjoys working with athletes, as well as various pain conditions, injuries and orthopaedic conditions. Dallas believes that everyone needs to be aware of their options in regards to health care and that it is her job to assist them on their journey to wellness. Dallas likes working with conditions like back pain, plantar fasciitis, neck and shoulder tension, stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia and PTSD.
By 2016, after working with a lot of military members, as well as other people that were struggling, Dallas went back to school and became a Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist with and Canadian Association of Counselling Hypnotherapists and Educators, after completing her education at the Horizon Center: School of Hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy has been used effectively on a vast array of conditions and symptoms. From habits, fears and phobias, to anxiety, depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, hypnotherapy has been a long-standing modality. Compared to conventional counselling or psychotherapy, it has proven to be a much quicker form of therapy. Without the analytical nature of the conscious mind to interfere, favourable results occur in a brief period.
